All students of our faculty enjoy access to the largest collection of philosophical and sociological literature in Poland. In addition to its own collections, the library of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology at Warsaw University renders available the books and periodicals of the libraries of the Polish Philosophical Society and the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. For the latest in-depth information see the Library web site (polish lang.). Library collections are available on the spot - in the main reading room (second floor) and in the periodicals reading room (ground floor). The library is open to everybody interested in publications from the field of philosophy and sociology; however, lending books is restricted to students, Ph.D. students, and research fellows of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology, students of the Collegium of the Interdepartmental Individual Studies in the Humanities (Collegium MISH), and Ph.D. students and staff members of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. ATTENTION ! When filling out the call slip, be sure to pay particular attention to the book's catalogue number, composed of two parts: the literal marking of the given book collection (U, P, T, W, or WFS, PAN, PTF) and a figure (the numbers recur !) - you must write down both segments. The majority of required reading is incorporated in the reference library - in this case there is no need to fill out call slips. The reference library catalogue is available in the reading room.
